Clarification of Press Release No. 14/03

, the Barbados
Cricket Association set out the criteria for selection of a beneficiary
for a Benefit Year.
At
paragraph (3) of the criteria, it was stated that the beneficiary has
“through his performances, been seen as a possible
West
Indies
selectee, but never earned that honour; priority being given to those who
have not regularly played professional cricket.”
It
should be noted however, that although the Board has agreed to place
emphasis on those who have not represented the
West
Indies
,
it will not rule out those who for example has played one test.
Such individuals would be eligible for selection.
