Barbados miss out on final as T&T, Jamaica in WICB Women's T20 championship showdown

Kingston, Jamaica, August 17 - (www.bcacricket.org) - Despite beating St. Vincent & the Grenadines by five wickets in their seventh and final round preliminary match, Barbados missed out on a place in the final on net run rate (NRR) after they were joined by Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica on the same points in the inaugural regional Women’s Twenty20 tournament.

Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica all finished with 30 points but Trinidad & Tobago had the best NRR of 3.34, followed by the Jamaicans +2.59 and Barbados with +2.14.

Guyana ended with 20 points, St. Vincent & the Grenadines were fifth on 15, Grenada came sixth with 10, St. Lucia were seventh on five and winless Dominica finished at the bottom without a point.

The final is slated for Saturday at Sabina Park, which is also the venue for the third-placed clash.

Trinidad & Tobago beat Dominica by 170 runs.
