The Sagicor Super Cup Final, Sunday 22^nd, 2006

On Sunday October 22^nd, 2006, arch-rivals Super Centre Spartan and ICBL Empire will meet at the Carlton Club grounds at Black Rock, St. Michael to contest the 2006 final of the Sagicor General Super Cup.

Super Centre Spartan has gone to the Final on nine (9) previous occasions and has been successful in eight (8) of them.  ICBL Empire has contested two fewer Finals seven (7) but has only reaped success in three (3).

This will be the third occasion on which these two teams will be competing against each other in a thirty year competition which is without doubt the finest limited-overs cricket championship in Barbados and in the Caribbean region.

The umpires selected for the big final are Andrew Corbin, Anthony Farrell, Ricardo Harrison and Anthony De Peiza.  The Duckworth/Lewis Administrator is Patrick Grazette, and the Match Referee will be Vincent Lashley.

There will be an admission fee of $5.00 for all adults and children will be admitted free.  The game which starts at 9.30 a.m.,is expected to attract a large following of loyal supporters of each club and numerous cricket loving fans.
