When the Organising Committee of the Sagicor Competition met to review the 2005 Season it was agreed that white balls and black sight screens would be introduced for the 2006 Sagicor Cup competition.

In addition the Duckworth/Lewis method would be used from the quarter-final stage of the Cup Competition.

These innovations were discussed at the pre-season meetings with the Clubs and also at a Press Conference on Tuesday May 16, 2006.

However, at the request of the Clubs participating in the Cup competition a decision has been taken to refer the implementation of the above innovations until the 2007 season to ensure that the Clubs are fully able and competent to administer them.
