AGM & Election of Officers
The
Executive of the Barbados Cricket Association was returned unopposed.
This was confirmed at the First Special Meeting of Members this evening
The
Members of the Executive for the period 2003-2005 are: - Stephen

meeting elected four (4) members to serve on the Board for the same period.
They are: - §

Alleyne and Holford were also elected to serve as Directors on the Board of
the West Indies Cricket Board Inc. while Messrs Alleyne and Williams were
appointed to represent the BCA at any meetings of the WICB Inc. The
Annual General Meeting of the Barbados Cricket Association was also concluded
this evening after its reconvened meeting discussed the Annual Report and the
Audited Accounts which were deferred at the meeting of The
Agenda for the AGM provided for the Overview of the President which was mainly
a report on the last year’s activities which highlighted the BCA’s new
marketing approach and the success of the senior team. There
was an in depth presentation on the proposal for the redevelopment of
Kensington and preparations for ICC World Cup 2007, which received encouraging
response from the membership. Members
also gave assent to a resolution which would allow members to purchase tickets
in the Challenor Stand to accommodate guests or children in specified
circumstances. The President made a full statement on matters relating to Presidency of WICB. The President’s statement was candid and exhaustive and dealt with the recommendation of members of the executive committee with regard to the WICB Presidency and the view and actions of the BCA Board on the matter. The membership accepted the statement made without question. The matters concerning the lottery were also addressed fully and the membership was assured that the Board would monitor the situation regarding the lottery closely to ensure that the interests of the BCA are protected. The membership accepted the Board’s guidance in this matter. The
Auditors, PricewaterhouseCoopers were reappointed. |
