Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, July 29 – (www.bcacricket.org) - Barbados finished as winners of Group B of the 2010 West Indies Cricket Board Caribbean Twenty20 championship after rain washed out their last round match against Guyana here this evening. Both teams finished on nine points each, but Barbados, by virtue of a higher net run rate, will play Jamaica in the second semi-final on Friday night at 8 o’ clock. The other semi-final will be contested between Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago, at 4 p.m. Trinidad has turned out to be a nightmare for the organisers with both matches on Thursday abandoned without a ball being bowled. The afternoons haven't been kind to the players and spectators with the weather dictating terms.
After Wednesday’s game between Canada and Leeward Islands was washed out, it was the turn today of Barbados and Guyana and then Windward Islands and Combined Campuses and Colleges to share points.
