Sagicor Cup - October 17- (www.bcacricket.org) - Guardian General Barbados Youth pair of Kraigg Brathwaite and Jomel Warrican boast of the most runs and wickets respectively going into the quarter-finals of the 2009 BCA Sagicor General Super Cup (50-over-a-side) championship on Sunday, October 18.

Opener Brathwaite, who has consistently made headlines this season with his prolific run-scoring in both league and limited overs competitions, has an aggregate of 366 from six innings including two not outs at an outstanding average of 91.50.

His highest score is an unbeaten 101 against Inspire Sports Wanderers at the Lester Vaughan School ground, Cane Garden, in the central parish of St. Thomas in the first round of matches on Sunday, May 10.

That innings put Brathwaite into the record books at the youngest ever player, aged 16 years, 160 days, to hit a century in the tournament, which is now in its 35th year.

Brathwaite’s fellow Combermerian and Barbados Under-19 team player, left-arm spinner Warrican, has 18 wickets at just 9.44 runs apiece. He has conceded 3.40 runs per over with best figures of five for 31 against BDFSP at Paragon in Round 4.

Apart from Brathwaite, only one other batsman – veteran Pedro Agard (314) of CGI Maple – has over 300 runs.

In Sunday’s matches, which start at 9.30 a.m., title holders ICBL Empire oppose Wanderers at Pine Basin; Barbados Youth meet ESA Field Pickwick at Queen’s Park; TeleBarbados Carlton clash with BNB St. Catherine at Paragon and LIME battle with last year’s runners-up Sagicor UWI at Weymouth.

The semi-finals are slated for November 1 at venues to be determined and the final on November 15 at Kensington Oval.

Following are the top batsmen and bowlers in terms of runs and wickets:
