16 teams for third annual Maxwell Sports Club T20 Tournament
Bridgetown, Barbados, December 3 - (www.bcacricket.org) - Sixteen teams including defending champions Friends are expected to battle in the third annual Maxwell Sports Club Twenty20 night tapeball competition, which is slated to start on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Briar Hall, Christ Church.
Sponsored by Clyde B. Jones Funeral Home and A & A Auto Parts, there will be an opening ceremony at 3 p.m., followed by two matches.
The teams will be divided into two zones with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs.
The champions will pocket $6 000 and a trophy with the runners-up earning $1 000 plus a trophy and the third place, a trophy.
Individual prizes and trophies will also be up for grabs for the Player of the Match in the Final, Most runs, Most Wickets and Best Fielder in the tournament.
One match will be played on each Tuesday and Thursday commencing at 7.00 p.m. with double headers on Saturdays and Sundays at 3.30 p.m. and 7.00 p.m.
Application forms are now available and can be picked up by contacting the Secretary of the Maxwell Sports Club, Orville Riley at 232-8909. They can also be collected from Elly Holford 264-9940 or at the Briar Hall ground any day of the week.
All completed application forms plus a $500 fee must be submitted to Riley by December 15, or at the Briar Hall ground any evening after 5.00 pm.
