Four Barbadians in WI Emerging squad with Floyd Reifer as head coach for CWI Super50 Cup
Bridgetown, Barbados, October 29 - (www.bcacricket.org) - Four Barbadians are in the West Indies Emerging Players 14-man squad for the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Colonial Medical Insurance Super50 Cup in St. Kitts & Nevis and Trinidad & Tobago, November 6 to December 1.
The four are all-rounder Justin Greaves, his Empire teammate, left-arm spinner Camarie Boyce, and the Carlton fast bowling pair of Keon Harding and Dominic Drakes, who is a left-armer.
Three other members of the squad have played in major Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) domestic Competitions - batsman Roland Cato of Grenada, Jamaican fast bowler Jermaine Levy and leg-spinning all-rounder Yannic Cariah of Trinidad & Tobago.
Locally, Cato has represented Yorkshire, Levy (Sagicor Life UWI) and Cariah (ESA Field Pickwick).
The head coach is Floyd Reifer, a former Barbados batsman and West Indies captain, who until recently was also the West Indies team head coach.
His assistant is former Antigua & Barbuda, Leeward Islands and West Indies fast bowler Kenny Benjamin.
