Four centuries, two six-wicket hauls in Series 2 of BCA Super Cup
Bridgetown, Barbados, May 11 - (www.bcacricket.org) - Four centuries were scored and two bowlers grabbed six-wicket hauls in Series 2 of the BCA Super Cup Championship today.
The century-makers are all Barbados Pride players.
Opener Shayne Moseley hit 117 for CounterPoint Wanderers, who beat IGS Insurance Brokers Yorkshire by 99 runs at Dayrells Road in Zone A.
Left-hander Moseley faced 121 balls and struck 16 fours and one six in a total of 280 for nine off 50 overs. It was Moseley's sixth century in the Tournament.
Yorkshire responded with 181 for nine.
In the same Zone, Aaron Jones made 113 off the same number of balls with 11 fours and two sixes as Wildey scored 265 for six off 50 overs against Lords who lost by 140 runs at SJPI.
Jones also picked up three for 18 to help dismiss Lords for 125 in 41.2 overs.
Tevyn Walcott of BDFSP slammed 123 off 101 including four fours and eight sixes against Maple but his effort was in vain as Maple triumphed by ten runs at Paragon.
Chasing 277, BDFSP were restricted to 266 for eight.
And Shamarh Brooks scored an unbeaten 111 off 114 balls with 11 fours and one six to spur Spartan to a seven-wicket win over Nicholls Baking Combermere at Waterford in Zone B.
Set 194 for victory, Spartan won in 39 overs.
Left-arm spinner Joshua Bishop took six for 23 as title holders Sagicor Life UWI crushed Crane Resort St. Catherine by 210 runs at 3Ws Oval in Zone A.
UWI amassed the highest total of the Series - 310 all out in 49.5 overs - and bowled St. Catherine out for 100 in 29.3 overs.
Police pacer Rasheed Padmore took six for 62 against Empire who triumphed by one wicket as they chased 212 at Weymouth in Zone B.
