URGENT: Skerritt is new CWI president, Shallow takes over as vice-president

Kingston, Jamaica, March 24 - (www.bcacricket.org) – Former West Indies team manager Ricky Skerritt is the new president of Cricket West Indies (CWI).

Skerritt defeated incumbent Dave Cameron 8-4  at the 20th annual general meeting at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel today.

Dr. Kishore Shallow also won by the same margin against Emmanuel Nanthan to become the new vice-president.

“I am humbled and deeply honoured to be elected as President. We pledge to work for improvement on and off the field for West Indies Cricket,” said Skerritt, a 62-year-old Kittitian.

Vincentian Dr. Shallow, 35, remarked: “I am grateful and humbled by the support of the members of the territorial board. This is a victory for West Indies Cricket.”

The proceedings were done under the watchful eyes of international audit firm, KPMG.

Both Cameron and Nanthan served in the top two positions for the last six years.
