Barbados beat Guyana by 3 wickets, WI Under-19, 3-day, R3, Day 3, Update 4, RESULT

Kingstown, St. Vincent, August 13 - (www.bcacricket.org) - Barbados beat Guyana by three wickets shortly before lunch on the last day of the third and final round of matches in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Under-19 three-day Championship at Park Hill today.

Set 132 to win and starting the day on 31 without loss off seven overs, Barbados scored 134 for seven off 38 overs.

The match ended 14 minutes before the scheduled lunch interval.

Opener Nico Reifer again topscored for Barbados. He made 39 off 84 balls with five fours from his overnight nine to follow his first innings 69.

Left-arm spinner Kelvin Umroa grabbed his second five-for of the match. He took five for 51 off 16 overs for match figures of ten for 134 off 41 overs.

Shian Brathwaite, who resumed on 22, was caught and bowled by Umroa for 23 (43-1; 8.1 overs).

Kadeem Alleyne was caught by Sachin Singh off Ashmed Nedd for 13 (64-2; 15.1 overs).

Mekhail Marshall was leg before wicket by Nedd for nought (64-3; 17.2 overs).

Antonio Morris was caught by wicket-keeper Joshua Persaud off Umroa for four (69-4; 18.4 overs).

Nyeem Young was stumped by Persaud off Umroa for six (83-5; 24.2 overs).

Reifer was caught by Persaud off Umroa (86-6; 28.2 overs).

And Kilano Brathwaite was lbw by Umroa for 19 (108-7; 33 overs).

The not out batsmen were Matthew Forde on 14 and captain Joshua Bishop on 16 .

The not out batsmen were Matthew Forde on four and Kilano Brathwaite, 11.
