Leewards beat Barbados by an innings and 4 runs, Digicel 1st-class, Round 2, Day 2, Update 11, RESULT

Bridgetown, Barbados, November 2 - (www.bcacricket.org) - Leeward Islands beat Barbados Pride by an innings and four runs on the second day of their second round Digicel Regional first-class match at Kensington Oval today.

Facing a first innings deficit of 120, Barbados Pride were bowled out for 116 off 32.3 overs in their second innings - just over an hour after tea.

Ashley Nurse was again the topscorer. He made 67 in 106 minutes off 71 balls with eight fours and three sixes.

Fast bowler Gavin Tonge was the main wrecker with six for 21 off 12 overs.

Seamer Jeremiah Louis took three for 43 for a match haul of nine for 112. He also topscored with an unbeaten 62 in 110 minutes off 107 balls including six fours and one six in a total of 233 all out and was duly named Man-of-the-Match.

In the Barbados second innings, Kevin Stoute, pushing, was caught at the wicket by Devon Thomas off Tonge for four (4-1; 3.5 overs).
