Barbados beat Jamaica by 26 runs, Regional 1st-class, R10, Day 4, Update 6, RESULT

Bridgetown, Barbados, April 18 - (www.bcacricket.org) - Barbados Pride beat Jamaica Scorpions by 26 runs - 48 minutes after lunch on the fourth and final day of their 10th and last round match in the Digicel Regional first-class Championship at Kensington Oval today.

Chasing 341 to win, Jamaica Scorpions, were bowled out for 314 off 87.1 overs after starting the day on 114 for one off 42 overs.

Opener Chadwick Walton topscored with 93 from his overnight 70. He was at the crease for 194 minutes, received 181 balls and struck seven fours and four sixes.

Fabian Allen made an attacking 60 in 45 minutes off 35 balls including three fours and six sixes.

Trevon Griffith scored 53 in 152 minutes off 128 deliveries, hitting seven fours and one six, after starting the day on 25.

Left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican was the leading wicket-taker with five for 87 off 26.1 overs.

Another left-arm spinner, Sulieman Benn, took three for 90 off 24 overs.

Today, Griffith, swinging, was caught at short, wide mid-on by Ashley Nurse off Warrican (162-2; 32.4 overs).
