Barbados beat Windwards by 9 wickets, Digicel Regional 1st-class, R7, Day 2, Update 3, RESULT

Bridgetown, Barbados, March 19 - (www.bcacricket.org) - Barbados Pride beat Windward Islands Volcanoes by nine wickets - 39 minutes before lunch - on the third day of the seventh round match in the Digicel Regional first-class Championship at Kensington Oval today.

Set 41 to win, Barbados made 41 for one off four overs.

Anthony Alleyne scored 26 off 16 balls with three fours and two sixes before he was stumped by Sunil Ambris off off-spinner Liam Sebastien with the score 31 (2.5 overs).

Left-hander Alleyne now has 523 runs for the season.

The not out batsmen were Omar Phillips on eight and Shai Hope, six.

Bowling: Lewis 1-0-16-0 (w1), Shillingford 2-0-13-0, Sebastien 1-0-12-1.

With a first innings deficit of 31, and starting the day on 34 for five off 14 overs, Windward Islands were bowled out for 71 in 25.1 overs in their second innings - 55 minutes after the start of play.
