Barbados beat Leewards by innings and 26 runs, Digicel PCL 1st-class, R6, Day 3, Update 7, RESULT

Bridgetown, Barbados, March 13 - (www.bcacricket.org) - Barbados Pride beat Leeward Islands Hurricanes by an innings and 26 runs - 48 minutes after lunch on the third day of the sixth round match in the Digicel Regional Professional Cricket League first-class Championship at Kensington Oval today.

Following-on with a deficit of 150 and resuming on 16 for four off 15 overs, Leeward Islands were bowled out for 124 in 59 overs in their second innings.

Keacy Carty topscored with 79 from his overnight 12. He batted for 236 minutes, faced 181 balls and struck 12 fours. His half-century came in 169 minutes off 123 balls with nine fours.

Fast bowler Kemar Roach was the leading wicket-taker with four for 18 off 16 overs. He had a match tally of seven for 47 off 30 overs and was named Player-of-the-Match.

Today, Gavin Tonge, pulling, was bowled off stump by Roach for two after starting the day on nought (22-5; 18.5 overs).
