Reid, Jordan among big names for Banks/G4S Masters final
Bridgetown, Barbados, March 25 - (www.bcacricket.org) - Many former BCA top league players will be on show in the final of the 2016 Banks/G4S Masters 35-over-a-side Tournament between five-time champions BNOC (formerly known as LIME) and Massy United Insurance Wildey (formerly known as Banks and Banks Wildey) at the picturesque KMV Oval, home of Isolation Cavaliers, Lakes in the rustic parish of St. Andrew on Saturday, March 26.
All five of champions BNOC's titles have come in the last six years including four on the trot from 2010.
Wildey, however, boast of two former Barbados first-class players in left-arm spinner Winston Reid, arguably the most successful bowler ever in the history of the Elite (rebranded from First in 2012) division Championship with over 1550 scalps and fast bowler Emmerson Jordan, who is also the team's coach.
Another Wildey player, hard-hitting batsman Barry Callender, played a solitary one-day match for Barbados.
Play starts at 12:30 p.m. and the teams will be met half-an-hour earlier by legendary Barbados and West Indies batsman, Sir Everton Weekes, who celebrated his 91st birthday on February 26.
There will be live ball-by-ball commentaries on the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation radio (94.7 FM).
