Rain washes out key WICB Under-15 third round clash between Guyana and Barbados

Georgetown, Guyana, July 27 - (www.bcacricket.org) - Rain forced an abandonment of play without a ball bowled in the top-of-the-table third round WICB Under-15 match between defending champions Guyana and Barbados at Everest today.

The outfield was saturated.

It was the second complete washout for both teams, who were left idle in the opening round.

Guyana went into this series at the top on 6.6 points with Barbados on 6.3, followed by Windward Islands 6.1, Jamaica 0.1, Leeward Islands 0.0 and Trinidad & Tobago, also 0.0.

In the other matches, Trinidad & Tobago beat Jamaica by nine wickets at Providence (Jamaica 125 all out (40.1 overs), T&T 125-1 (34.3 overs) and Windward Islands defeated Leeward Islands by 18 runs at Albion Sports Complex (Windwards 118 all out (47.4 overs), Leewards 100 all out (40.4 overs).

Points: Windward Islands 12.2, Guyana 6.6, Trinidad & Tobago 6.6, Barbados 6.3, Jamaica 0.1, Leeward Islands 0.1.
