Police Juniors, Passage United to clash in Inspire Sports Under-13 final
Bridgetown, Barbados, March 9 - (www.bcacricket.org) - Police Juniors and neighbours Fusionz Boutique Passage United will meet in the final of the seventh annual Inspire Sports Under-13 competition.
In the semi-finals on Sunday, Police Juniors reached the final for the first time with an easy seven-wicket win over Franklyn Stephenson Academy. It was the first time both teams had made it to the Final Four. Franklyn Stephenson Academy (formerly Community Cricket League) are in their second year of the tournament.
Three time-champions Fusionz Boutique Passage United had a tense 24-run victory over home team Co-operators General Insurance St. Catherine Juniors. It is the seventh straight final for Passage United who will be seeking to make amends following a hat-trick of defeats. This was after they had a hat-trick of wins from the inception of the tournament in 2009.
The final is scheduled for March 22 at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic ground, starting at noon.
Fusionz Boutique Passage United beat Co-operators General Insurance St. Catherine Juniors by 24 runs.
